Siti Nurhaliza On Tour 2019

(Siti Nurhaliza – A decade too late)

Serta merta aku dah tambah satu lagi list 100 things to do before I die; Pergi konsert live Siti Nurhaliza.

* Siti Nurhaliza memang power malam tu. Kalau penyanyi lain sambil tersembul-sembul urat leher mak nenek sampai summon semua setan iblis untuk hit notes; dia nyanyi rilek macam makan nasik. Entah bila dia tarik nafas pun aku tak tau. Rasanya dia ada insang kat tepi leher dia macam ikan.

Bila Siti nyanyi lagu Percayalah, all time feveret aku, mata aku macam dah berkaca-kaca sikit. Haha.

Alin dah bagi greenlight kalau terasa nak buat follow up Siti dekat Royal Albert Hall, London April ni. Tapi nak beli tiket kat mana aku pun tak tau. Tengok la camne heuheu.

Nota kaki: Aku tak gemar nak panggil Siti Nurhaliza “Tokti” macam orang lain buat sebab aku nak rasa Siti tu dekat dengan peminat. Datuk datuk ni rasa berkasta dan elitis sangat.

Malaysia Memilih 2018

Astro Awani now is my always-on channel post general election 2018, and I can’t stop sticking my nose in front of the television or live stream. If I were on the outside, their Twitter is my victim of constant refreshing.

There are/were too many interesting discussions, topics and on the go analysis between panels related to future government policy encompassing from expenditures, education, media freedom and transparent governance.

Yesterday, there was a dialogue between Dr Maszlee Malik (Newly appointed Education Minister) and Liew Chin Tong (DAP Political Education Director) discussing race and religion segregation in education. Also – they are looking forward to revamping the current system by creating a model based on United Kingdom educational models where they encourage parents to actively participate in teaching/learning activities in classrooms which is severely lacking at this moment.

I tried to find the programme recording on the Youtube but not available at this time. I’ll update my post once Awani uploaded it on the internet.

Selamat berpuasa folks!

Perth 2016 (Part 1)

Sometime in January, I was sitting in my office, writing some codes and reading a lot of Sharepoint documents, feeling a little worse for wear due to work.

Suddenly, Azim dropped me a message on Telegram saying that there is a promotion on AirAsia that I might want to take a look. Not knowing what else to do, I logged to AirAsia. Azim told me he already booked the tickets for his family to Perth. Intrigued, as we’ve never been to Australia before, I asked my wife if she’s okay with that. She gave a green light, so I proceeded to book the tickets according to September school holiday. We didn’t put much thought on it, just randomly select whenever convenient date available. After I’ve completed the checkout, we realised that we picked Eid-Adha holiday week in Perth. Of course, we need to justify ourselves to Dengkil family as traditionally we will pay them a visit every Eid-Adha. Fortunately, they were okay with that.

Adieu Malaysia. See you next week!

Perth is not a prime destination for first-timer to visit Australia. A lot of friends preferred Melbourne or Sydney instead of Perth. One of the deciding factor why we picked Perth is the ticket price itself. While it was MYR 500 cheaper than Melbourne, it was an easy decision. While we are working the itinerary, I was doubtful when people on Tripadvisor suggested that there’s nothing much to do in Perth, but I was wrong. It was rather an enjoyable trip with plenty places to visit. Perth quickly emerged as one of favourite destination to come.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We’ll start with the itinerary soon.

Fixing loud and clicky iPhone 6s home button

I bought a new iPhone 6s last month to replace my old trusty iPhone 5. Everything went fine and dandy as I’m enjoying the blazing speed of the latest iPhone hardware.

This morning I noticed my iPhone home button was very clicky and hard to press. The clicking sound was loud, even though it’s functioning properly. I had to apply twice as pressure to return to home screen. To make sure if I am the only one who is having the problem, I tested my wife iPhone 6s home button. As expected, hers is working as expected.

Afraid that I will break the home button sooner or later, I contacted Apple support. After 15 minutes talking over online support chat, they arranged me an appointment to nearest Apple Authorized Service Center, which is Machines IOI Mall Putrajaya. At the same time, I searched on the Internet if there’s any quick solution to fix the problem. Last time when I owned iPhone 3Gs, the quick fix was to ‘rub’ and ‘massage’ the home button.

I stumbled on one Youtube video asking the viewer if they have a solution to mend the issue, and there is one comment saying that you can fix the clicky issue by applying rubbing alcohol throughout the ring of the home button using tissue or cotton bud. Being adventurous, I followed the advice and it’s working!

Other than cleaning your open wound from a bear attack, it also can save your iPhone home button.

So what needs to be done.

  1. Turn off your iPhone.
  2. Dip a tissue or cotton bud rubbing alcohol (isopropyl or ethanol)
  3. Press and hold your home button.
  4. Rub the tissue or cotton bud around the home button. Let it dry for a moment.
  5. Test your home button again.

If it’s still not working, I assume your home button flex ribbon was broken, and I advise you to contact Apple Support to arrange a proper hardware replacement schedule.

If it’s working, do share your experience in the comment section.

Until tomorrow.

Misteri di PARAM (Pasar Ramadhan)

Tadi aku tengah beratur nak beli Ayam Bob dekat PARAM Puncak Jalil ni. Tengah syok-syok beratur tiba-tiba aku rasa ada tiupan angin lembut dekat lengan kanan aku ni. Nak kata petang tadi berangin tak jugak. Kalau angin sepoi-sepoi bahasa yang bertiup takkan la dia fokus kat satu tempat je, iaitu belah lengan kanan aku. Tiupan angin tu pendek, tapi konsisten setiap beberapa saat.

Tiba-tiba bulu roma aku meremang, orang kata kalau angin bertiup satu tempat ni tandanya ada langsuir sedang berjalan-jalan riadah berhampiran dengan aku. Tapi ni bulan puasa, mana datang hantu. Semua dah kena gari.

Pelan-pelan aku pusingkan kepala tengok belakang kanan aku.

Jadi sepanjang perjalanan balik rumah tadi aku termangu memikirkan peristiwa petang tadi sampai kena hon dengan kereta belakang sebab lampu isyarat dah hijau.

Aku rasa misteri ni memang takkan terjawab sampai raya pertama.

Anak buah-buahan baru

Kelmarin adik aku baru je bersalin anak kedua. Lepas dia habis bersalin, tak sempat-sempat tunggu nurse tu habis gunting tali pusat, dia dah hantar gambar baby dekat Whatsapp.

Dah la muka sebijik photostat macam Rayyan (anak pertama). Harap-harap perangai baik sikit daripada Rayyan. Ini tidak, asal nampak kami datang rumah je mintak iPhone/iPad sebab nak tengok Upin Ipin dekat Youtube. Bukan nak salam tanya khabar ke apa. Bila kami nak balik, habis semua jiran tetangga kerumun dekat depan pagar rumah sebab dia menangis macam nak runtuh langit.

Waktu gambar ini diambil, proses pemilihan nama masih lagi berjalan penuh tertib. Habis semua website dalam Internet nama-nama bayi lelaki Islam kami punggah. Nama yang baik-baik tu banyak. Tapi aku harap jangan la letak nama hipster macam budak-budak zaman sekarang. Bagi nama Putera Afique Haiqal Nasiruddin, kang masuk sekolah budak panggil “Apek” je. Tak berguna langsung. Tak fikir ke budak tu nak ambik exam macam mana.

Tapi aku berkenan sungguh nak letak nama Riyadh. Biar power main bola macam Riyadh Mahrez.

Tak elok makan Mekdi selalu

McDelivery

Proses transaksi ni berpotensi untuk mengambil masa terlalu lama sekaligus mengundang jengahan jiran sebelah melalui tingkap lantas berteka-teki bilakah tarikh terakhir kami refill tong gas memasak.

Jadi untuk mengatasi masalah ni sekaligus menyuruh rider Mekdi ni balik selekas mungkin supaya aku boleh makan ayam goreng dengan aman sambil tonton cerita “Orange Is The New Black” yang penuh dengan aksi lesbian dalam penjara, aku mengamalkan sikap “keep the change” dekat rider Mekdi tu. Bila jumlah order aku contohnya RM 22.50, aku sengaja kasi RM 25.00 atas niat sedekah. Mana la tau dalam perjalanan dia semasa nak hantar order ni dia kena kejar babi hutan atau terpijak taik kucing. Sekurang-kurangnya diorang seronok menghantar order ke rumah kita. Muka pun tak kelat bila sampai depan pintu macam mintak kena lutut dekat perut.

***

Menyeringai je depan pintu tiap kali aku nak hulur duit. Aku rasa dia memang saja volunteer nak hantar order aku setiap kali nama aku keluar dekat sistem.

Sampai aku pun dah naik segan sebenarnya.

USB Tethering without iTunes

For god-knows reason, sometimes Wifi tethering doesn’t work so another choice is to tether over USB cable. But you don’t want to install bloated iTunes in your computer. You may try this alternative to enable USB tethering without iTunes.

Install these two files in a given order (Important, or else it won’t work)

a) AppleApplicationSupport.msi

http://bit.ly/1QfljcF

b) AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi

http://bit.ly/1MlIL1R

2. Plug your iPhone to the USB cable and enable USB tethering. Voila!
