Anis Nabilah

Kalau setiap kali Anis Nabilah keluar dekat TV mesti soalan yang sama Alin tanya dekat aku.

“You suka Anis kan?”

“Aik, kenapa?”

“You kan follow dia kat Instagram”

“Herm herm hermste…” (takut nak jawab)

“You suka Anis kan?”

“Laa asyik tanya soalan ni je”

“Ye la you kan follow dia kat Instagram”

“Dia hotness okeh?”

Padahal dah lama aku crush kat dia daripada zaman dia Icip-Icip TV3 lagi. Kur kur kurr.

Hidup Berjiran

Seawal 9.30 pagi waktu aku tengah sedap berak dalam jamban, aku dah terdengar laki bini bergaduh-gaduh terjerit-jerit macam kerasukan ablasa. Aku terus mesej Alin suruh dia menebeng dekat balkoni sebab aku tak dengar apa topik pergaduhan dia. Tapi Alin kata dia malas sebab sibuk nak mengajar bebudak PdPR.

Cepat-cepat aku abiskan berak, pakai seluar terus turun bukak pintu depan.

Makcik Salmah [1] sebelah rumah lagi awal daripada aku rupanya ada dekat luar tengah buat-buat siram bunga. Aku pandang dia, dia pandang aku sambil angkat-angkat kening dan muncung-muncung cencorot tunjuk rumah depan. Aku pun buat-buat tarik getah paip nak siram pokok mint cenonet aku tu.

Dah tak dengar apa pulak. Macam tau-tau je kitorang ada kat depan ni nak tengok drama pagi.

Terus aku cakap dengan Alin yang dia dah terlepas salah satu amalan tradisi berjiran yang dah establish sejak zaman nenek moyang kita. Tradisi menyibuk hal orang hahah.

Nota kaki: [1] Aku tak tau nama makcik yang duduk sebelah ni, selalu panggil dia acik je. Kalau aku ajak sembang petang, topik lain haram dia taknak layan aku. Kalau topik pokok pandan dia tanam tak hidup tu laju je.

“Wan, aku dah bagi nama ko kat KKM. Diorang mintak close contact list start daripada 25/12 haritu”

”Demit.”

Terpaksalah saya redha pergi buat PCR test pagi tadi. Meleleh-leleh air mata saya macam baru lepas kena lempang dengan Cikgu Saripudin sebab ponteng perhimpunan pagi.

Harapnya semua baik-baik saja. Tak sanggup kena kutip naik ambulans pegi MAEPS.

Update: Result PCR saya negatif.

Let go

One of the most challenging life lessons is letting go. Whether it’s guilt, anger, love, loss, or betrayal. Change is never easy. We fight to hold on, and we fight to let go.

Guess I should learn how to forgive myself.

Things we took for granted

Aiguille du Midi, French Alps — Oct 2019

Rasanya waktu ni first time nampak salji depan mata. Kalau dah asyik travel pegi Europe bukan musim winter memang lah tak jumpa apa. Tapi time ni kalau tak salah baru habis spring nak masuk autumn. Chamonix bukanlah dalam plan asal, tapi masa dekat Hard Rock Cafe Venice, kami terserempak dengan sekumpulan acik2 Malaysia. Diorang la yang bersungguh recommend suruh singgah Mt. Blanc sebelum balik. Lantas kami dengan gigihnya drive lintas Germany – Switzerland – France. Ternyata diorang tak tipu.Tapi Saril cakap sepatutnya singgah Interlaken / Jungfraujoch kalau dah alang-alang dekat Swiss tu. Ada ke dia baru nak bagitau waktu kami dah sampai dekat Milan. Tak guna betul. Tapi takpe, lepas COVID habis, kita ambik cuti sebulan terus.

cMCO Episod 2

Kalau nak dibandingkan dengan zaman baru nak up dulu, selepas era 30-an ni agak jarang berbicara tentang kesihatan mental diri sendiri dengan orang lain. Dulu zaman expressive, semua benda nak bagitau orang. Sekarang cakap siang pandang-padang, cakap malam dengar-dengar. Takut orang kata mengada pulak.

Ni masuk dah minggu ketiga aku demam on-off. Kerja bersepah tak siap, dua tiga kali skip meeting sebab tak larat. (Meeting tengah malam)

Dua minggu jugak tak pergi kayuh basikal. Badan lemau. Rasa down. Kerja pun tak sepenuh jiwa raga. Lepas makan ubat terus tido.

Tiba-tiba hari ni bapak Dafi umum PKPB seluruh Selangor, Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya. Rasa sesak kepala. Down semacam. Bayangkan ada rakan-rakan yang hilang mata pendapatan, atau keluarga yang ahli keluarga ramai terpaksa bersesak satu rumah selama dua minggu ni.

Semoga Allah mudahkan semua urusan kita sehari-hari ni.

Salam.

Sepeda

*** Disuatu hari ketika waktu tengahari yang panas, aku tengah terbaring tanpa rasa segan silu dekat Shell Kota Warisan akibat sakit pinggang sebab basikal salah fitting ***

“Saya tak pernah tengok basikal macam ni bang, berapa harga dia bang?”

”Hehehe, err…err entah la bang, saya beli ni sikit2. Dah lama baru la lengkap seketul ni.”

”Ooo. Hehe ni belas2 ribu ni”

”Hehehe, takde lah bang, tak sampai pun.”

*** Raya Haji Open House 2020 ***

”Wan, berapa ko beli beskal ni?”

”Aaaa. Ehehehe erm murah je ni.”

“Maaa, Wan tipu maaa. Dia cakap haritu dia habis <redacted> dekat beskal baru dia.” — sampuk adik gua.

Sebenarnya tak terlintas betul kat hati nak mengelak ataupun memberikan jawapan tak jujur bila orang tanya berapa banyak aku spend dekat sepeda baru aku tu.

Tapi bak kata Siti Nurhaliza, biarlah rahsia. Heuheu.

Malaysia Memilih 2018

Astro Awani now is my always-on channel post general election 2018, and I can’t stop sticking my nose in front of the television or live stream. If I were on the outside, their Twitter is my victim of constant refreshing.

There are/were too many interesting discussions, topics and on the go analysis between panels related to future government policy encompassing from expenditures, education, media freedom and transparent governance.

Yesterday, there was a dialogue between Dr Maszlee Malik (Newly appointed Education Minister) and Liew Chin Tong (DAP Political Education Director) discussing race and religion segregation in education. Also – they are looking forward to revamping the current system by creating a model based on United Kingdom educational models where they encourage parents to actively participate in teaching/learning activities in classrooms which is severely lacking at this moment.

I tried to find the programme recording on the Youtube but not available at this time. I’ll update my post once Awani uploaded it on the internet.

Selamat berpuasa folks!

Perth 2016 (Part 1)

Sometime in January, I was sitting in my office, writing some codes and reading a lot of Sharepoint documents, feeling a little worse for wear due to work.

Suddenly, Azim dropped me a message on Telegram saying that there is a promotion on AirAsia that I might want to take a look. Not knowing what else to do, I logged to AirAsia. Azim told me he already booked the tickets for his family to Perth. Intrigued, as we’ve never been to Australia before, I asked my wife if she’s okay with that. She gave a green light, so I proceeded to book the tickets according to September school holiday. We didn’t put much thought on it, just randomly select whenever convenient date available. After I’ve completed the checkout, we realised that we picked Eid-Adha holiday week in Perth. Of course, we need to justify ourselves to Dengkil family as traditionally we will pay them a visit every Eid-Adha. Fortunately, they were okay with that.

Adieu Malaysia. See you next week!

Perth is not a prime destination for first-timer to visit Australia. A lot of friends preferred Melbourne or Sydney instead of Perth. One of the deciding factor why we picked Perth is the ticket price itself. While it was MYR 500 cheaper than Melbourne, it was an easy decision. While we are working the itinerary, I was doubtful when people on Tripadvisor suggested that there’s nothing much to do in Perth, but I was wrong. It was rather an enjoyable trip with plenty places to visit. Perth quickly emerged as one of favourite destination to come.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We’ll start with the itinerary soon.
